This historic riverfront house is at the tip of Harbor Point, formed where the Arlington River and Little Pottsburg Creek converge. It has spectacular views of more than a mile of open water, including the Matthews Bridge, St. Johns River, and downtown Jacksonville. Piers remain for a dock that will grant full access to the ocean. Towering oaks shade this two-story architectural delight, with a wraparound veranda, Queen Anne style balcony, and design details like chamfered posts, scroll-sawn brackets, and solid wood decorative wainscoting. Original wood floors remain throughout most of the house. This house is still owned by relatives of the original builder. Although it has recently been occupied as it is, some restoration would be beneficial.
